With the Advanced Mask Technology Center GmbH & Co. KG (AMTC), a world-leading centre for the development and production of photolithography masks was established in Dresden in 2002. TRANSCONNECT^® is used here to integrate the existing application systems.

Initial situation

The AMTC’s high-quality product portfolio includes photomasks for use in both 193nm dry and immersion lithography for single and multiple exposures as well as EUV lithography. By providing photomasks of the latest generation, the AMTC enables its customers to strengthen or expand their technological leadership.
In order to meet the complex requirements of data transfer, such as processing logic and stability, and in parallel to fill the gap of a tool to support data transfer, TRANSCONNECT^® was introduced in 2009.

Solution

At the Advanced Mask Technology Center, TRANSCONNECT^® is used to integrate the existing application systems. In order to meet the given complex requirements of data transfer in terms of processing logic and stability, the focus is currently on two main functions:

Within the framework of an ETL process (Extract, Transform, Load), TRANSCONNECT^® is used for the post-processing of process results in order to be able to load them semi-automatically into the existing MES system. Communication with TRANSCONNECT^® takes place via JMS. In the course of data preparation, a proprietary file format is created by means of XSL transformation and further necessary data is provided at the storage locations expected by the other application systems.
In addition, scheduled tasks are set up to control further copying processes.
