innoscale AG
Daily reporting via MDM
INFO
Initial situation
innoscale AG is a provider of the master data management solution DataRocket. This solution is used to improve the data quality of companies across all systems. At a large medium-sized customer, the data quality of an SAP ERP system and an SAP B1 system was to be measured centrally in innoscale’s DataRocket MDM system and reported to the company’s specialist departments on a daily basis. However, there was no connection between DataRocket and the SAP systems.
Solution
A specific TRANSCONNECT® adapter was developed to connect the DataRocket system. TRANSCONNECT® can be used as an integration layer to transfer SAP ERP data to DataRocket. The data is transferred from the SAP systems to the TRANSCONNECT® platform and sent from there to DataRocket. The transfer is carried out by means of IDOCS.
In addition to the technical integration, department-specific data quality criteria were first created in DataRocket for the attributes of the SAP ERP material master. These are evaluated by DataRocket on a daily basis. For this purpose, the changes to the material master are continuously sent from the SAP system to the TRANSCONNECT® platform and then forwarded to DataRocket. The results of the evaluation are then made available on the intranet in the form of dynamic web-based reports. Just a few hours after the changes in the report, the results of data changes (corrections or new data errors) are visible and retrievable in the intranet for the specialist department. innoscale AG was able to configure the necessary settings in TRANSCONNECT® on its own after a one-day training.
